Privacy Policy

MiriTint ("the operator") runs MiriTint ("the service"). The preview and the guides collect no personal data. Installed cases (the Tint Gallery), added on 2026-09-21, let signed-in members post photos and text; only then is the minimal data in section 1-1 kept. This policy states what exists, when, and when it is deleted.
1. Preview and guides — what is not collected
The preview tool and the guide articles have none of the following:
- Any form that asks for a name, contact detail or address
- Any saving of your choices, or sending them to the operator — a configuration lives in the page URL only
- Cookies for visitors who are not signed in — the sign-in cookie in section 1-1 exists only for signed-in members
The preview tool does use two storage slots that disappear when you close the tab (browser sessionStorage), so that a hint is not repeated within the same visit. They hold only a "hint already seen" marker — no value that identifies you — and are never sent to the operator.
1-1. Installed cases (Tint Gallery) — what is kept once you sign in
To submit a case or manage your posts you sign in with a Google or Kakao account. Everything kept is listed here.
- The sign-in provider, the identifier that provider assigns to you, and your display name — to keep you signed in and tell your posts apart. No email address or phone number is requested or stored.
- One sign-in cookie (30 days) — strictly necessary for the service; removed when you sign out.
- The photos and text you submit (vehicle, shade per window, shop, price, notes, display name). Location data (EXIF/GPS) is removed from photos on upload. Number plates are masked by the operator before publication.
- A receipt photo (optional) — used only to verify the price and deleted immediately after checking. It is not retained.
Retention: data is deleted immediately when you delete a post or your account (account deletion removes every post and photo). Photos of posts left unapproved for 30 days are deleted automatically. Storage is entrusted to Cloudflare (D1, R2) — see section 5.
2. Visit statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is used to count visits. It does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and reports only aggregate figures (visits, page views, referrers, approximate country and device type). The operator can see nothing beyond those aggregates.
Purpose: improving the service and understanding usage. Retention: per Cloudflare's policy.
3. Advertising
Advertising via Google AdSense covers running costs.
- Google and its partners (third-party advertising vendors) may use cookies or similar technologies in your browser to serve ads.
- Google may serve personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
- Information processed this way is handled by Google under its own responsibility; the operator neither sees nor retains it.
You can change these settings yourself:
- Google Ads Settings — turn off personalised ads
- aboutads.info — opt out across many vendors
- youronlinechoices.eu — for visitors in Europe
- Your browser's settings can block or delete cookies
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent request as required by law, and advertising behaviour follows that choice.
4. Affiliate links
The service may include affiliate links to car accessories. If you buy through one, the operator may receive a commission, and the fact that you followed the link is passed to that retailer (for example Amazon or Coupang). Processing after that point follows the retailer's own policy. Affiliate links are disclosed where they appear.
5. Third parties
No personal data is sold or shared. The service relies on:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting and visit statistics
- Google LLC — advertising (Google AdSense)
6. Your rights
Signed-in members can delete their own posts on the My posts page, and deleting the account removes the account together with every post and photo. For other access or correction requests, write to the address below and it will be answered. Advertising cookies can be controlled through the links in section 3.
7. Children
The service is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated. Significant changes will be announced within the service.
