1. What this service is
MiriTint ("the service") is a reference tool for visually estimating how automotive window tint will look. It is free and requires no account.
2. Limits of the information shown
- The screen is an approximation. Colour, brightness and reflection are computed estimates and may differ from an actual installation, depending on the specific film, the tint of the glass itself, lighting conditions and your display settings.
- This is not legal advice. Legal limits are shown as reference information; no judgement is made about whether a combination is permitted. Verify the rules where you drive before installing, and consult the relevant authority or a professional if needed.
- Film specifications follow manufacturer-published figures and are still being verified. Their accuracy is not warranted.
3. Trademarks and non-affiliation
The service is not an official service of any vehicle manufacturer or film brand. No manufacturer or brand has reviewed or approved its content, and what the service shows is entirely the operator's own. Vehicle and brand names appear as factual references to identify the subject, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
The service carries advertising. Businesses in this field — film brands, installers — may be advertisers, and the service also carries advertising placed automatically, such as Google AdSense, where the operator does not choose the advertiser. Compensated content is labelled as advertising where it appears, and carrying an advertisement is not the operator's endorsement of that business or product. Compensation never affects the information the service shows — the computed shade, hue and reflectivity per window, or the legal figures. Nothing is altered to favour a particular business or product.
4. Intellectual property
The vehicle imagery, code and written content were produced by the operator, who holds the copyright. You are free to take screenshots and share links for personal, non-commercial purposes. Bulk copying of the imagery or content, or commercial redistribution, is not permitted.
Photos and text submitted by members (installed cases) remain the copyright of the member who submitted them. By submitting, a member (i) warrants that the photos and text are their own and (ii) grants the operator the licence needed to publish, display, translate and resize them within the service and to mask personal data such as number plates. The licence ends when the member deletes the post or the account. The operator reviews posts before publishing and may decline or remove posts that conflict with these terms or the law. Publication of a case is not an endorsement by the operator of the shop or product.
5. Prohibited use
- Automated requests at a volume that interferes with operation of the service
- Misrepresenting what the service shows as official manufacturer or regulatory information
- Using the service for any purpose that breaks applicable law
- Posting false statements in installed cases, or submitting someone else's photos or text as your own — liability for defamation, obstruction of business and the like arising from false statements rests with the author
- Concealing a discount or other compensation received from a shop when posting a review — compensated reviews are labelled as such
6. Advertising and affiliate links
The service may contain advertising and affiliate links. The operator is not responsible for the content of advertisements or for goods and services offered by advertisers. Purchases made through affiliate links are governed by the relevant retailer's terms.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". The operator does not warrant uninterrupted availability or the completeness or accuracy of the information shown, and is not liable for decisions you make on the basis of it (whether to install, which shade to choose) or their consequences. Liability for damage caused by the operator's wilful misconduct or gross negligence is not excluded, to the extent applicable law requires.
8. Changes and discontinuation
The operator may change or discontinue the service. As a free service it may change without prior notice, though significant changes will be announced within the service.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the effective date above is updated.
10. Governing law
These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
